The conference will be held insha’Allah from December 28th, 2007– December 30th, 2007. Every effort will be made to start at 9:00 AM and end by 10:00 PM each day, with the exception of Friday, December 28th, 2007 (will begin insha’Allah at 12:30 PM with Juma’ salah)

This year Crime Prevention Week will be held from November 4-10, 2007. As in past years, the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services will continue to place emphasis on crime prevention and community safety during this annual event.
This year’s theme is ” Committed to Building an Ontario Free from Racism, Intolerance and Hate”.
The Hamilton Police will be hosting the following session:
Community Dialogue: Building a Community Free from Racism, Intolerance and Hate. Building Bridges across Our Differences.
Date: Thursday November 8th at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

an Art show with the title “The Arab World: History and Culture”. It will be
held in the Palestine house, 3195 Erindale Station Road, Mississauaga, ON,

Shabir Ally has earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, with a specialization in Biblical Literature, and an M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Quranic Exegesis. He is now in his second year of Ph.D studies in Quranic Exegesis at the University of Toronto. He is the president of the Islamic Information & Dawah Centre International in Toronto where he functions as Imam. He travels internationally to represent Islam in public lectures and interfaith dialogues. He explains Islam on a weekly television program called “Let the Quran Speak”. http://www.shabirally.com/

Great news, Shaykh Jamal Zahabi is now confirmed to teach at the Living the Light Program. Shaykh Jamal will teach along Sh. Talal Ahdab, Sh. Faraz Rabbani, Sh. Ramzy Ajem and Sh. Zahir Bacchus. This will bring together five of the GTA’s most pre-eminent scholars in one program, for the first time.

I thought that you might be interested to know that the Muslim Association of Hamilton Eid dinner will take place on Sunday, October 14th at 5pm.
Tickets are $25/person, with proceeds of the event is going towards the new Mosque fund.
