Toronto man missing after gunpoint kidnapping August 24, 2009

The search is on for a 22-year-old man who was forced off the road and kidnapped by armed gunmen while driving in Scarborough yesterday.
Toronto police detectives say Furqan Muhammad-Haroon, 22, of Toronto, was driving his van in the Midwest Rd. and Midland Ave. area, near Ellesmere Rd., around 3:30 p.m., when three men, one armed with a gun, forced him off the road.
Shortly after the incident, police found his vehicle.
Muhammad-Haroon is still missing.
He is described as brown, 5-foot-10, 181 pounds with black eyes, short black wavy hair and a beard with no moustache. He wears eye glasses. He was last seen wearing a blue, long-sleeved crew neck shirt and dark blue jeans.
His vehicle is a 2003 Mazda MPV van with Ontario license plate ASEH 887.
